Superior Room

Graceful deco design features and heritage influences come together with contemporary touches in our spacious Superior Rooms in London's iconic Mayfair. 

Taking their cues from the glamour of Claridge’s in the 1920s and 1930s, the art deco bedrooms pair mellow tones with geometric lines and polished glass accents. While our collection of traditionally styled Superior Rooms are a perfectly balanced blend of chic and comfortable.

Claridge’s has held a strong royal connection since the 1860s and it was during this time that Queen Victoria and her dear friend Empress Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III and Empress of France, visited Claridge’s. When The Empress set sail across the Channel to Claridge’s, her home away from home, her Mistress of Robes – The Duchess of Rivoli – was always by her side.

Our unique Superior Room, the Duchess of Rivoli Room, echoes the traditional design and French flair of the Empress Eugenie Suite. The Duchess of Rivoli Room was inspired by the Duchess herself, along with the garments and jewellery that she chose for The Empress.
